How to Wear a Topper (For You or Your Client)
Before Application:
- Ensure all four clips are open.
- Lightly comb forward the fringe or front hairline.
- Start by securing the front clip just behind the hairline.
- Align the topper in the mirror to match the client’s natural parting.
- Ensure the topper is placed in the middle of the head at all times, except when the front clip is slightly off-centre to follow a natural part (for small bases).
- Once satisfied with placement, secure the back clip, followed by the two side clips.
Pro Tip: Encourage a loose, comfortable fit to avoid tension on the natural hair—especially important for clients with thinning or fragile hair.
How to Remove
- Release all clips gently before removing.
- Use a light roll or jiggle motion to detach without tugging.

Application Tips: Apply moisturiser and oils on both wet and dry hair. Use fingers or a soft bristle brush to style gently. Moisturise every 5–7 wears or more often if needed.
Styling Note: Minimal product is needed. Avoid heavy sprays, lacquer hairsprays, or excessive heat.
Colouring Advice
Hair toppers can be darkened but not lightened. No bleaching. Always test colour on a strand first.
Washing Routine
Recommended Every: 6–8 weeks or every 30–40 wears (More frequent washing may be needed in warmer climates.)
Washing Instructions:
- Use COLD water with mild shampoo (10c coin amount).
- Dip topper 6–8 times; rinse.
- Towel-roll to remove moisture.
- Apply conditioner generously; leave for 5 minutes.
- Rinse thoroughly in cold water.
- Towel-roll again.
- Apply moisturiser or leave-in, heat protectant, and oil.
- Comb through with fingers.
- Air dry or blow-dry as needed.
Daily Use & Handling Tips
- Wear approximately 1 inch back from the hairline for a natural blend.
- If flattened in a box, use water + hairdryer to reshape part or fringe.
- Minimise heat (Max 190°C).
- Use a soft bristle topper brush only.
- Always brush ends first, then work up to roots.
Avoid: Sleeping or swimming with the topper, excessive exposure to chlorine or saltwater.
For workouts: Tie hair up to avoid tangling. After swimming: Wash and moisturise immediately.
